Mission Capistano at the September 2003 Meeting of the Sydney Battle Squadron

Mission Capistrano

The original Mission Capistrano was a T2-SE-A2 class tanker from the United States World War Two building program. Our Mission Capistrano was built by Michael Raue of the TONE Battle Squadron on a T2-SE-A2 fiberglass hull of his own manufacture. She has a full load displacment of 21,880 tons and thus is worth 1,500 points per successful convoy run.

As the original vessel has a speed of 16 knots, the Mission Capistrano runs at 22 knots (the minimum merchant ship speed) when sailing with the Australian Battle Group.

She is currently owned and operated by Michael Raue.
